In Naples, a trattoria that offers the best of Campania cuisine, both of its tradition and of the family of its exceptional host, Gianluca Amoroso, who here gave life to his dream of creating a place where his guests could always feel deeply pampered.
Located near Castel Nuovo, in the central Via Santa Brigida, the restaurant is one of the best addresses in Naples where you can taste typical Campania cuisine executed to perfection.
After a long experience in the field of high-level international restaurants, Gianluca Amoroso opened Brigida in 2024 with the dream of “going back to where he started”. A host who is always present and exceptional in pampering guests and recommending gastronomic itineraries and wine pairings, with over 110 tailor-made local labels, as well as in telling extraordinary stories of producers and lives that intertwine with his restaurant.

The interior, with an open kitchen, was designed to recall the typical convivial rooms of Campania and give the idea of Sunday lunches spent with the family with green boiserie, many vintage photos on the walls and the inevitable checked tablecloths.
The gastronomic offer is based on the best of traditional food, as well as on research that Gianluca is carrying out with great passion on dishes from his family, from grandmothers from Campania and ancient recipe books.
In the kitchen, Franco and Fabio select together with Gianluca the high-quality local producers so that each dish is made with the best ingredients available.
So on the menu we find yummy recipes like stuffed anchovies with classic parmigiana, stuffed squid in stew, meatballs with ragù and aubergines in stew, and Aglianico cake with yellow cream.
Brigida’s iconic dish, the result of Gianluca’s research, is Spaghetto alla Gravunaro, a traditional Neapolitan dish prepared with breadcrumbs flavored with anchovies, capers, olives and pine nuts, which is served with the ritual of the bavetta (a traditional bib) that is wrapped by the waiting staff around the guest’s neck.

The Secret
The choice of the name Brigida refers to the central street of Naples where the restaurant is located, but also recalls Brigida, the protagonist of the famous song ‘A tacchi ‘e café, written by Giuseppe Capaldo in 1918, performed among others by Roberto Murolo, a beautiful but grumpy woman, like a cup of bitter coffee that hides the sweetness of the sugar at the bottom.
